21 to 99 Years

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.

Travel Restrictions

"International journeys are permitted for certain countries outside Germany, but generally require the prior consent of Avis/Budget.

If approved by Budget, a Cross Border Fee (CBF) is payable. This amounts to €5.00 per day, €35.00 per week and maximum €55.00 per rental.

Travel East:

'Travel East' needs to be entered into the reservation remarks followed by the name of the country you wish to travel to. 'Travel East' is available for all car groups except special vehicles.

'Travel East' fee EUR 5.00 per day, up to a maximum charge of EUR 35.00 will apply (fee is subject to airport surcharge 23%).

You can only take the vehicle into the following Eastern European countries: Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia.

If you have a corporate or contracted agreement with us the charges may be different. Please check your contracted terms and conditions."

Cross border fee: EUR 5.00 per day, EUR 35.00 per week, max. charge EUR 50.00

"You are only allowed to use the vehicle in the following countries:

Austria (A), Andorra (AND), Belgium (B), Croatia (HR), Czech Republic (CZ), Switzerland (CH), Germany (D), Denmark (DK), Spain (E), France (F), Finland (FIN), Hungary (H), Liechtenstein (FL), Great Britain (GB), Italy (I), Ireland (IRL), Luxemburg (L), Monaco (MC), Norway (N), Netherlands (NL), Poland (PL), Portugal (P), San Marino (RSM), Slovakia (SK), Slovenia (SLO), Sweden (S).

Please note that driving into France (F), Italy (I),the Czech Republic (CZ), Croatia (HR), Hungary (H), Poland (PL), Slovakia (SK) and Slovenia (SLO) is not permitted with vehicles in the F & J vehicle group.

You are not allowed to use the vehicle in Albania (AL), Armenia (AM), Azerbaijan (AZ), Bulgaria (BG), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH), Belarus (BY), Canaries, Cyprus (CY), Estonia (EST), Georgia (GE), Greece (GR), Iceland (IS), Kazakhstan (KZ), Kosovo (RKS), Latvia (LV), Lithuania (LT), Malta (M), Macedonia (MK), Moldavia (MD), Montenegro (MNE), Romania (RO), Russia (RUS), Serbia (SRB), Turkey (TR), Ukraine (UA) and any country outside continental Europe.

Also not allowed: Balearic Islands, Canaries, Corsica, Crete, Sardinia

Any infringement of or non-compliance with any of the above provisions shall entitle Budget to terminate the rental agreement without notice or to withdraw from the rental agreement. Claims for compensation by the renter are excluded in such a case. The claim for compensation for any damage incurred by Avis/Budget as a result of the violation of any of the above provisions shall remain unaffected."

Transported by water?

"Great Britain and Ireland are alowed. Prohibited are Balearic Islands, Canaries, Corsica, Crete,

Cyprus, Malta, Sardinia

Ferry transportation allowed into non restricted countries.

If the car is not operating any more, the customer is responsible for the costs of transporting the vehicle to the original pick-up country."
